Gillian has had a passion for photography since childhood, receiving her first camera at age 10.  She received informal training in the Kimberley 17 years ago, taught by a wedding/portrait photographer & a motorsport/landscape photographer, & has participated in small, group workshops to remain up to date & open minded. She is continually pushing the boundaries of what she has learnt, not allowing herself to form limitations or to stop learning.

With a background in visual & performing arts as well as in marketing, Gillian has an artistic flair tempered  by commercial know-how & experience.

Gillian specialises in Band & Event photography, however her work includes much from Fine Art & Travel to Commercial advertising & Portrait/Glamour photography.

She is also a qualified makeup artist, with a Cert 2 in Make Up Artistry & a Diploma in Make Up for Film, Media & Theatre; with experience in evening & special occasion makeups, high fashion, stage production & film – including casualty effects. Her makeup kit is geared towards sensitive skin where possible.

Since that first camera, Gillian has used & tested a variety of camera makes & models including Canon, Miranda, Kodak, Sony, Practica, Olympus, Olympia, Nikon, Pentax & Polaroid across both film & digital varieties.
