I’ve known Paul for a decade.
Four years ago, he asked the love of his life to marry him. And not long after that, they asked me to be their wedding photographer.
These two lovebirds are so perfect for each other, it’s hard to remember a time that they weren’t together. I adore Nina as much as I care for Paul, and I pretty much consider him my brother. It’s like she has always been here & I wouldn’t change that for the world.
So when Nina walked down the aisle that day, & Paul caught his first glimpse of his amazing bride in her stunning Maggie Sottero gown, I caught myself crying. Professional wedding photographer, cynical dragon, teary friend. I blinked them away as best I could, hid my face behind my camera, & focused on recording all of that emotion into each photograph. I’ll admit, I teared up all over again during post production.
Let me share with you that day…
Leading up to their wedding day, Nina & Paul asked if they could have “that dinosaur shot” done.
I said, Sure. Why not. I’m sure we can find one that’s willing to pose on the day.
He was grumpier than we expected. Something about missing breakfast?
Nina & her bridesmaids performed a routine called, “the Wobble” for Paul & his groomsmen. There is only so much my stills can show you of it, but here’s a tutorial video from youtube that will give you an idea of how amazing these girls are.
Paul & Nina fleshed their reception out even further with a children’s activity table – full of loom bands, colouring books, & an uno set – & my ‘photobooth’ option. It was a riot, & everyone got in on the act!
